Hello Parishioners of Resurrection and St. Mary’s,
My name is Deacon Hunyor, and I’m grateful to be spending the summer here with you! Since I won’t get the chance to speak to each of you during the first week I’m here I wanted to tell you a bit about myself and my background. I was recently ordained a transitional deacon on May 15, and look forward to, God willing, being ordained a priest of the Diocese of Toledo next year. I’m from Maumee, and am the oldest of six children. I’m a 2003 graduate of Maumee High School. Before Seminary I was a firefighter/paramedic, and worked in fire/ems for almost 10 years. I attended college seminary at the Pontifical College Josephinum and am finishing my theological studies at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati. Some of my hobbies are hunting, traditional archery, fishing, and disc golf. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you this summer, so please feel free to introduce yourself whenever the opportunity arises.
