Holy Week Opportunities

At the heart of our Faith are the saving Mysteries of our Lord’s Sufferings, Death and Resurrection. The services scheduled below are designed to enable us to enter as fully as we can into these Mysteries.

Special opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation this week are as follows: on Tuesday, March 31st, at Resurrection Parish, starting at 6:30 p.m. and going until all confessions are heard; on Wednesday, April 1st, at St. Mary Parish, starting at 6:30 p.m. and lasting until all confessions are heard.

Liturgies from Holy Thursday Through Easter are as follows:

On Holy Thursday, April 2nd, the Lord’s Supper Mass is to be celebrated at 8:00 p.m. at both St. Mary Parish and at Resurrection Parish.

On Good Friday, April 3rd, the Solemn Good Friday Liturgy is to be celebrated as follows: at St. Mary Parish at 1:30 p.m., and at Resurrection Parish at 7:00 p.m.

On Holy Saturday, April 4th, the Solemn Easter Vigil Mass is to be celebrated at 8:30 p.m. at both Resurrection Parish and at St. Mary Parish.

On Easter Sunday, April 5th, Masses are to be celebrated at the normal times, namely at Resurrection Parish at 8:30 a.m. and at St. Mary Parish at 10:30 a.m.

A blessing of Easter Foods is to occur at Resurrection Parish at 2:00 p.m. on Holy Saturday, April 4th.

May our participation in these special Holy Week liturgies renew within us the desire and ability to live in the light of our Lord’s Victory and to witness to our Faith in a convincing manner.

Warmly yours in Christ,

Fr. Nelson Beaver – Pastor
